If that doesn't pan out, I'll send you whatever you want, if you are willing to tinker with it.

No prob. A few hundred ez_bux outta cover it, right?

The only thing that has me thinking that's not it, is that I haven't experienced the lag (or at least haven't noticed it) when "rendering fx as new take," but maybe the playrate isn't tied to that or something (I hope). I think I need to leave early today to see if I can troubleshoot for a few minutes before the spaz crew gets home.

Thumbs up

Travis, you may sodomize my virgin butthole at your convenience. You just saved my ass. So f'ing stupid of me. Just some errant mouse click at some point had my rate at .975 or some shit. Also (and this I can't quite explain), the "overs" on the limited tracks aren't occurring when the play rate is correct, so super bonus.

Seriously, man. thanks so much. I just can't believe it was something so stupid that I couldn't figure out on my own (and those fuckfaces at cockos wouldn't bother helping with ).

the overs with a playrate change might make sense depending on how things in reaper are internally routed, but it still seems like unexpected/bad behavior to me which might fall under 'bug'.

motherfucker! i was gonna suggest the same thing, since it has happened to me before. one time i inserted a tempo change marker, and when i moved it, it changed the playback rate on part of a file that i recorded before i moved the tempo marker. so it fucked everything up and i couldn't figure out why the hell it wouldn't line up anymore. then i noticed on the media item you can see it says "play rate" in tiny letters and it was off by a hair.
